I have been a reflexologist since 2017. Reflexology is a relaxing treatment which promotes a sense of well-being and helps to combat stress. It can provide support and comfort when life feels full of tension or anxiety. If you feel under the weather, depressed or simply down in the dumps or just fancy a bit of self-care then reflexology could be your way to better well-being.
I provide a range of holistic treatments based on reflexology that make you feel better in mind, body and spirit. I am based in Shefford, and welcome clients from all over Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. I am in easy reach of Hitchin, Letchworth, Bedford or Stotfold, and the villages of Clifton, Campton, Meppershall, Barton-le-Clay, Ampthill, Flitwick and Henlow.
My treatments include Reflexology, Facial Reflexology, Zone Face Lift, Facial Cupping, Indian Head Massage, Ear Candling, Hot Herbal Compresses. You can combine most treatments for a truly relaxing and restorative experience.
My main aim is to provide you with a caring, friendly, professional service to make you feel relaxed, reduce your stress levels and leave you feeling fantastic.
I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists, and abide by their strict code of practice and insurance requirements.
Covid-19: Keeping You Safe
Since March 2020, I have followed government guidance and advice from the Association of Reflexologists on how to operate safely. I have reviewed my processes with each change.
Although your safety is paramount, I still offer a relaxing and rebalancing treatment and the wonderful sense of well-being that follows.

All treatments are now bookable. For treatments on your feet, I will continue to be wearing a face covering and will ask you to do the same unless you are exempt until you are settled on the couch. At that point, you are welcome to remove your mask if you wish.For Facial Reflexology, Zone Face Lift, Indian Head Massage or Holistic Facials, I will wear a Type II facemask and a visor. Once you are settled on the coach, you will remove your face mask for treatment.
Prior to your appointment
If you, or any of the people you live with, feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please let me know as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE THERAPY ROOMS FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. I have amended my booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to illness or self-isolation.
Preparing for Your Treatment
If you are a new client, I will send out the consultation form ahead of time, and ask you to fill it in and return it 48 hours before your appointment. I will then call you to discuss any of the answers and answer any questions about your treatment.For follow-up appointments, I may ring you prior to your appointment for a telephone consultation to reduce face to face time in the treatment room. This may count towards your 60-minute appointment time.For all appointments, when you book, you will be sent a Covid-19 Form to complete. Please complete this the day before your appointment, or on the day of your appointment.
I suggest bringing as little as possible into the treatment room, but please bring your own water bottle if possible.It is important to drink water after a treatment, so if you don’t have your own water, I will supply a small bottle for you to take away.
Although we have toilet facilities on site, and you are of course welcome to use them, remember that other business owners use these facilities too. You may prefer to think of this before you leave your home!
Like most others, I prefer not to handle cash at present. I have upgraded my booking system to reduce contact in taking payment. Now you will be asked to confirm a payment card when you confirm your appointment. You do not have to do this, but it means that payment will be taken automatically when your appointment is completed. If you have not confirmed your appointment, you will be asked to send me a payment code via SMS to complete the payment.
Although I don’t have access to your card details, the system is completely under my control, so if you prefer to pay another way at the appointment, I can adjust this when marking the appointment as complete. For instance, you may have a gift voucher, or prefer to pay with a different card on the day. Please remain in or by your car – I will come and greet you when I am ready.
Between clients I have a strict cleaning regime to follow, and will complete this and put on fresh PPE before coming out to you.
I will use personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment. This will include a face visor (for facial treatments), face mask, and apron.
As you come into the premises, there is a hand sanitiser just as you come through the door. Please use this. Other hand sanitiser stations are throughout the premises, please do help yourself as necessary.
Please walk straight through the training room into the treatment room. I will follow you through at a distance.
A chair is available for you just inside the door to the treatment room, and I ask that you place ALL your belongings into the box provided next to the chair. I will complete a Covid–19 risk assessment form for both of us with you before your treatment commences if you have not completed this beforehand, or I have not already done this by phone.
I will remain at a distance until you are settled on the couch for your treatment. I will wear appropriate PPE during your treatment, such as a face visor, mask and an apron.
All sheets, pillowcases, towels and blankets on the couch have been freshly laundered, and are only used for you.
I always wash my hands before and after your treatment, and that hasn’t changed. I wash my hands following NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment. Should I need to wash my hands during your treatment, please excuse the break in your treatment.
I will make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatment please let me know and I will do my best to reassure you.
Closing Your Treatment
At the end of your treatment, we will discuss any findings as usual. However, we should focus on essential conversation. Although normally this is a lovely time to chat, I am mindful that it makes sense at the moment to minimise our contact time.
I will take automatic payment unless you prefer to pay via a different method.
We will discuss your follow-up appointments and you will get an automatic confirmation later. If you need to change this at any time, you can do this yourself on the booking system, or text me for alternatives.
Although I ask that you depart promptly so I can clean and sanitise before my next client, please tell me if you do not feel well enough to get up or drive as your well-being is still my uppermost priority.

The Purpose of processing Client Data
In order to give professional reflexology treatments, I will need to gather and retain potentially sensitive information about your health. I will only use this information for informing reflexology treatments and associated recommendations concerning aspects of health and well-being which I will offer to you. I take basic contact details and information via my website to allow me to contact you and handle bookings.
Lawful Basis for holding and using Client Information
As a full member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, I abide by the FHT Code of Conduct and Professional Practice. The lawful basis under which I hold and use your information is my legitimate interests i.e. my requirement to retain the information in order to provide you with the best possible treatment options and advice
As I hold special category data (i.e. health-related information), the Additional Condition under which I hold and use this information is for me to fulfil my role as a holistic practitioner bound under the FHT Confidentiality Standard as defined in the FHT Code of Conduct and Professional Practice.
What information I hold and what I do with it
In order to give professional reflexology treatments, I will need to ask for and keep information about your health. I will only use this for informing reflexology treatments and any advice I give as a result of your treatment. The information to be held is:
Your contact details
Medical history and other health-related information (which I will take from you at first consultation)
Treatment details and related notes (which I will take after each consultation)
I may share your name and time of appointment (only) with reception staff where you visit my therapy rooms in other organisations.
I will NOT share your information with anyone else (other than within my own practice, or as required for legal process) without explaining why it is necessary and getting your explicit consent.
How Long I Retain Your Information
I will keep your information for the following periods :‘Claims occurring’ insurance: (records to be kept for 10 years after last treatment)
Law regarding children’s records (records to be kept until the child is 25 or if 17 when treated, then 26)
CNHC requirements to retain information for 8 years
Your data will not be transferred outside the EU without your consent.
Protecting Your Personal Data
I am committed to ensuring that your personal data is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, I have put in place appropriate technical, physical and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect from you.

The right to object: To be able to tell your therapist you don’t want them to use certain parts of your information, or only to use it for certain purposes.

The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office: To be able to complain to the ICO if you feel your details are not correct, if they are not being used in a way that you have given permission for, or if they are being stored when they don’t have to be.

Please note:If you don’t agree to your therapist keeping records of information about you and your treatments, or if you don’t allow them to use the information in the way they need to for treatments, the therapist may not be able to treat you
Your therapist has to keep your records of treatment for a certain period as described above, which may mean that even if you ask them to erase any details about you, they might have to keep these details until after that period has passed
Your therapist can move their records between their computers and IT systems, as long as your details are protected from being seen by others without your permission.
